The students in this immersion are led by two faculty. Dr. Paul Kaldjian is a human/cultural geographer with expertise in food systems, community-building, and regional geographies. He has lead student field trips to Mexico and Turkey and in the Western Wisconsin region. Kaldjian is a dual US-Finnish citizen who has lived, worked, and studied in Helsinki. He is currently the interim Chair of the Department of Art and Design.
Dr. Ezra Zeitler is a human geographer with expertise in tourism, race & ethnicity studies, and geographic education. He has extensive experience leading student field trips across Wisconsin, North America, and Europe. He is currently the chair of the Department of Geography and Anthropology.
Both are experienced bicyclists.
